@sticky WHOAH, you mean that the AK47, the Automatic Kalashnikov 1947, means it was pressed into service in 1947. One really doesn't have to be American to truly appreciate the overwhelming win of Ben Franklin. His Philadelphia hospital paved the way for modern medicine. The man was altruistic, intelligent, and yes, he was a patriot. Im not even really making a comment on any countries inclination to conflict. I am commenting on the piss poor state of marksmanship of the russians. If I wanted to illustrate both countries ability to mismanage a military action, I would bring up afganistan or indo-china.

Ablative armor on tanks was a pretty solid idea. Its just easy to come up with ways around it. Also having to wait days in line for bread, but never a wait for booze, you can see what the government wanted. And there is a wonder why Russian manufacturing isnt a gold standard

My god people. I was making a reference to the spray and pray tactics of the USSR combined with the fair at best accuracy of hand tool built Kalashnikovs. Oh and knocking the cheese eating surrender monkeys. The French did have the good sense to fall over themselves to basically en masse fellate Benjamin Franklin. But he brought them things like medicine, revolution, and whatnot.
