Yes. - Comment on 427 Cobra Shelby (2011-03-02 03:43:14)
It's still one of the fastest, most nimble cars on the market. The mass appeal of them are that it is an extremely light-weight chassis with a ridiculously large engine. Shelby widened the track width to deal with the extra speeds they were pulling in the tiny British-car-based chassis, and upgraded the suspension. With the original drive-train it goes from 0 mph to 100 mph and back to 0 mph in 13 seconds, and can pull incredible numbers on the skidpad. This car was extremely popular when baby-boomers were young, so the desire to own one when they got older and had a little extra coin to spend resulted in a large "kit car" industry. Factory Five makes the most well-known kits, and will even build it for you to your specifications at an incredibly great cost. If you have some mechanical skill and autobody experience it can be built for much cheaper. Please forgive any inaccuracies all of these numbers were quoted from memory, and I may be a little rusty. - Comment on How does my car look? (2011-03-02 01:06:54)
Your car looks 15+ years old. The "running boards" you posted were originally designed for off road vehicles to provide extra protection from undercarriage rock scrapes until some south-of-the-border folk and Ivorians decided to slap chrome on them, produce them cheaply, and slap them on anything that may or may not have the extra ground clearance. In short, no don't do it. - Comment on Falling (2011-02-25 14:33:39)
They should make the venn diagram a three way, where the center portion where all three overlap is labeled love, and where falling ad joy overlap is called skydiving, and where pain and joy overlap is called exercise. - Comment on That look makes me ... (2011-02-25 12:03:43)
Is it just me, or does the lady on the left have a wonky eye? - Comment on Chicago (2011-02-14 02:33:57)
I used to work at the Hilton Chicago, which you can see clearly in the background, and I lived just three more blocks south of that. Actually still own and currently rent out that condo. - Comment on Soda pot (2011-01-28 02:31:24)
