Thanks for the compliments guys. But I still consider myself an amateur. Picked up this cam (my first DSLR, mind you) for $200 on ebay about 5 months ago. bought the sigma about a month ago as I wasn't too happy with the standard 18-55mm kit lens. IMO if you can afford it, look at the 50D as well. Got a chance to play with it a few weeks ago and I couldn't bring myself to shoot with my 300D for 2 weeks after. Thats how good it is. And yeah, save up for a better lens.
