First off, Depp was never considered for the role of The Joker, and frankly I don't think he'd be good for the role. The only rumor I've heard is that they're thinking about him for The Riddler. Secondly, Aaron Eckhart signed on for three movies (so did Heath Ledger), so I think it's safe to say that although Harvey Dent is dead, Two-Face is still alive, and if Heath Ledger was still alive The Joker would have a part to play as well. Also, from everything I've seen and heard, Christopher Nolan loves making these movies, and Christian Bale loves being Batman. I highly doubt that any member of the amazing cast of these movies is going to back out now.
