  • Comment on Joe Biden The Greatest Statesman (2019-10-06 06:41:51)
The allegations against Biden are complete and utter bullshit. They are made up by Trump, a deluded moron who lies constantly and never met a conspiracy theory he didn't like. He's not going after corruption at all -- he's openly asking other countries to help him win in 2020. He is using his office to go after his political enemies. Reports are now coming out that he actually mentioned Warren in a call to China (the call was then moved to that secure server). What a coincidence. Trump is not just breaking his oath, he is betraying everything the country stands for. He is hands down the most corrupt US president in modern history, and he is doing his best to turn the country from a lawful nation into his own cash-cow/banana republic. He is trying to purge the Intelligence agencies and the State department of everyone who is loyal to the country, and replace them with sycophantic partisan loyalists who will do everything "the great leader" says. If you think the Framers were okay with what he is doing, if you can't see the clear abuse of power here, you are out of your mind.

Well... she actually reads. She is able to listen and take the advice of others. She's not a compulsive fabulist afflicted with narcissistic personality disorder. She made her fortune on her own without the help of daddy, and she never went bankrupt. She actually has things to say when she's in front of a crowd. She can articulate simple ideas in a clear and concise fashion. She can articulate complex ideas in a clear and concise fashion. She behaves like a rational adult, and not like a spoiled child who needs instant gratification. So, you know, at least there's that.

"Stellar turn full of pathos, depth and nuance." I think you've been sucking too much milk out of that space moose's tit.

Both Obi-Wan and Yoda stayed low after E3, but they didn't give up. They didn't just run off to hide away and die. Obi-Wan kept an eye on Luke. And when Luke was sent off to Yoda, the latter did not refuse training. He trained him. As a Jedi. Luke is arguably the main protagonist of the entire saga. He's the hero-figure who, in the classical tradition, answers the call to adventure and learns to harness a mystical power, allowing him to stand up against great evil, defeat the Emperor, and redeem his father. TLJ turns him into a joke -- someone who runs away from the New Republic, from his sister and best friend, and from his problems. It's fucking lame.

Those monuments have nothing to do with remembering history. A good number of the statues went up in the 20's and 30's when black soldiers came back from WWI asking for their due as veterans and waves of immigrants came through Ellis island sparked fear and hatred. More statues went up during the civil rights movement of the 1950's. Their purpose was simple: intimidate the black population by reminding them that the white power structure still pined for the "good old days", and just might resort to extreme means (KKK or otherwise) to deal with black folks asking for their rights. The South should confront its racist past, not idolize it.

While I'm sure she must feel some measure of frustration in knowing that Trump is an autocratic fool who is undermining the fundamental institutions that keep the Republic alive, there must also be some degree of satisfaction in knowing that Agent Orange has shown everyone in less than six months that he's utterly unfit for the office. While she's taking it easy, Trump is slowly losing his mind watching cable news every day, going on Twitter rants, and freaking out over what he knows Muller will uncover in his investigation.
  • Comment on Trump is no longer wearing his wedding ring (2017-05-26 11:03:26)
Just did a quick research. Trump rarely (if ever) wears a wedding band. For indicators of wether or not his marriage is on the rocks, you are better off checking out the Melina hand slap videos. She's not even pretending anymore. Trump could be the first President to go through a divorce while in office. It really would be fitting, and I can only imagine the insanity -- especially in light of how Trump would go nuts trying to control the story/seek to avoid negative bits from leaking. Would he try to get the NSA to listen to her phone conversations? (grabs popcorn)
