It may technically be "abuse of power," but when you read the whole story it's not so bad. This Wooten guy (the state trooper she was trying to get fired) had been threatening to murder her father and nothing was being done about it. I suppose she could have gone through other channels or whatever, but she did it at the request of her family, which I think any governor would at least consider. And even her opponents say that she had the right to fire the guy she did (not the trooper), as he served at her discretion (meaning she didn't have to give a reason). Facts always enlighten, even if they aren't as salacious as headlines.
