It ain't about race, Mr. Person (though the republicans do bleed a little white, don't they?). It's a matter of what's missing from the whole of republican culture. Conservatives are anti-everything progressive which generally turns creative people off. Thus, republicans have little - if anything - of any cultural relevance or value to add to anything. Furthermore, the arrogant attitude postured by the right wing claiming a monopoly on patriotism and "Americanism" is just stupid. Ya'll aren't patriotic. Not with your whine-about-everything say-no-to-everything politics. That's puritanism and, at best the kind of dull attitude reserved for lazy people and automatons. Again, get creative. Become an interesting progressive force - even with the dumbass politics of your anti-party and I'll respect you more. Republicans have literally nothing of any cultural relevance to add to the world. They are dull and uncreative white people who are doing everything they can to either regress our freedoms (ie, legislating our morality in the form of anti-abortion, anti-gay marriage, anti-stem cell research, etc.) or shit on the few genuine and awesome accomplishments Americans have achieved in the last 300 years. Seriously, get creative, get interesting, or get out. And also stop shilling for corporate interests. It's fucking disgusting.
