I think Mr. Freeze could make a magnificent villain if they returned to his roots as a tortured soul. Considering how Dark Knight didn't present Batman's actions as purely good (a mistake made by other, lesser hero movies), it would be interesting to take it a step further and give us a hero AND a villain we can root for.
