@GrandAdmiralThrawn - I guess I was mistaken about your knowledge, please excuse me. Your arguments are well worded and thoughtful. Which side is good or evil is a point of view. I prefer to think of the Jedi and Rebels as fighting for good against a corrupt and manipulative Emperor/Sith Lord.

I am not sure if there is a distinct term for the sensor. I agree with you that the shutter speed term is interchangeable between digital and mechanical. - Comment on Water Monkey (2007-11-28 14:23:04)
Right you are, Tiki, but not a shutter in the classical sense. Digital cameras may have a digital shutter but not a mechanical one. The shutter in an older camera looks kinda like a sliding shutter on a window; it has horizontal hinges that move it. Hence the term 'shutter" or "shutter speed". - Comment on Nerdy Love Letter (2007-11-28 14:02:12)
Right on, natakamus. Killing the younglings was definitely evil. Also, how about allowing the destruction of the entire planet of Alderaan? I have stated before that your username is misleading, GrandAdmiralThrawn: http://www.myconfinedspace.com/2007/10/08/star-wars-concept-storm-troopers/ - Comment on Water Monkey (2007-11-28 10:46:06)
Gaexion, Shutter speed in a film camera would have more to do with catching detail in a moving image than the speed of the film (although the film is a factor as well). "Shutter speed" on these new-fangled digital cameras is just a term derived from the days of film cameras; it indicates how long the shutter is open and exposing the film to the image through the lens. The shorter amount of time the shutter is open, the faster the image is captured. If the shutter is open longer, then you get those pictures of busy highways with lights smeared down the road or a moon smeared across the sky as the film is exposed longer to a moving image. There is no shutter to speak of on a digital camera. ...and yes, I am a dinosaur and still own a manual 35mm camera that I have to wind the film in myself :) - Comment on Council On Foreign Relations Members (2007-11-27 09:52:10)

@Ando, I wear those, in that size. They support my man-boobs and tiny lang-lang. - Comment on Horseless Carriage (2007-11-21 09:31:39)
Call me weird, but I would love to put around town in one of these. Weren't there levers for brakes and acceleration as opposed to pedals? - Comment on This Is Not Videogames (2007-11-20 10:38:22)
@Caio, Amen. I read diabeetus' site the other day and was dumbfounded. Your first post eloquently states what my jumbled brain was trying to wrap itself around. The articles were long and tried in vain to make a ridiculous points with backward logic. @mAgNUS - Well put. - Comment on Siberian Tiger Swimming (2007-11-16 17:13:33)
Tiki I just noticed your comment and it is fucking funny.
