I object to the title of this post. It makes it sound like the toilet water is reused for hand washing; in fact, it captures the gray water from the hand washing, and uses that to flush the toilet.

FIle this under: "Life Imitates Art." Monty Python did a skit about this in the 70's, wherein a bunch of mobsters tried to sell "protection" to the Commandant of an Royal Air Force Base. Extorting the U.S. Federal Government isn't a thing that works, unless you're simply *trying* to catch a federal indictment. "I'll return this property of the Government that I knowingly, and unlawfully, possess, if you'll give me a different set of things that belong to the government" isn't actually a negotiating technique; it's a confession to two separate felonies, (at least).

It's not contempt, or obstruction. The subpoena/warrant might request that you keep your mouth shut, and any smart person could likely come up with any number of reasons not to go bragging/blabbing about it, but, the First Amendment *clearly* entitles the subject of a warrant, a subpoena, or an indictment to speak freely about it. Otherwise, we'd have "secret" trials, and that's not a thing in the U.S. (Third party subpoenas are a different breed, but if the warrant is for *your* phone, you're entitled to talk about it. Always. No exceptions.) The Pillow guy is a drooling, gibbering moron, but he's entitled to tell us that his phone got grabbed. (I am perfectly willing to accept that he does not understand the situation.)

If you're intent on criming, one of the "downsides" to being F-POTUS, and few people seem to think about this, is that you are more-or-less constantly surrounded by Law Enforcement Officers. Even if he could run... there'd be nowhere to run to. (Witness the fact that there's speculation that the DOJ was told about his trove of documents by one of his Secret Service Agents.)
