No, it was designed to prevent monarchy, by forming a strong, but not too strong, federal system that protects the rights of the masses. It doesn't state all of those things clearly at all, particularly with regards to implementation, but broadly speaking the "necessary and proper" clause gives the federal government the power to do whatever it needs to do to ensure those rights. You're going right into what I specifically mentioned as the typical counterargument - BUT THERE ARE THESE THINGS WRONG WITH THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT MAY AS WELL THROW IT ALL AWAY - and assuming that not voting for ron paul means support for nefarious activities undertaken at a federal level. It is not. You think that corruption won't happen at a state level? Got news for you.

paul wants to effectively disband the union and go back a step in history to the articles of confederation. we tried that once. it didn't work. that's how we got our current constitution. this is the united states of america, not the nation-states of america, for a good historical reason. all of the things everyone claims ron paul is against in the federal government: he's only against them because it's the federal government. if the states continue the war on drugs, if the states mandate racial segregation, if the states outlaw abortion, he's ok with that. So long as it isn't the federal government. It's the big lie that the internet ron paulies swallow: ron paul will fix everything by fucking up the union, rather than dividing a nation even worse than it already is today. not to say there isn't shit way wrong with the fed, which is almost always the counter-argument. disbanding it is not in my opinion the way to fix that.

What? No. Why would you be ethically obligated to break social contract, even if you don't like the person? Particularly if it won't stop any of their actions that meet your disapproval - it's not punishment for a wrong if the person doesn't know the purpose of the action. This would be just stealing for the sake of stealing, an act which is by most social standardsethically wrong. You'd not be morally obligated either. Also, pretty much what AgZed said about poor wording and questions of advanced knowledge.

it went fine for me. i went under general anaesthesia because i had some wicked impactioned teeth. i fell asleep mid-sentence talking to the doctor and woke up trying to continue where i'd left off, except suddenly through a wad of bloody cotton in my mouth. mashed potatos, as i recall, from KFC or instant from a box. and jello. took pain pills for a couple days, not long. sat around for a couple days off on the interwebs, watching netflix and playing video games variously. no drinking or smoking til it heals because of the risk of the dreaded "dry socket", which according to the people i know who drank and smoked after having their wisdom teeth out, made them want to die in the mouth.
