I should correct something I said, or at least clarify it. "Sometimes, you have to make certain of what you're shooting." Not that you don't need to make sure what you're shooting at in any scenario, just saying that a tac light can certainly help in that regard sometimes.

@sylvanish: Yes. Sometimes, you have to make certain of what you're shooting at. Other times, it could be as simple as illuminating a suspicious object. You're right, though. You're not supposed to really use your tac light in an open environment unless it's absolutely necessary, as how it's pretty much broadcasting your position. Just a call you've got to make as to whether or not you should do it. One thing they come in quite handy for is stopping traffic at night. The great thing about using them with room clearing is that if you do it right, shining one of those lights in somebody's face in the middle of the night after they just woke up can be just as effective as a punch in the face. Wake up and the first thing you see if an excruciatingly blinding light pointed at your face? Pretty effective.

@sylvanish: The rail systems allows for any number of accessories, just like the foregrip the guy already has attached. Believe it or not, a tac light could actually prove to be somewhat useful. Keep in mind these aren't like your normal flashlight, and the better ones can shine extremely brightly at good distances. Another thing you may want to put on it is something like an AN/PEQ-2, which can put out an infrared laser and beam to illuminate areas through night vision optics.

Bush & Co. can't be THAT bad, can they? I mean, after all, if they really were as borderline fascist as so many people claim, then surely the American people would have done something about it, right? If you're looking to blame somebody for what's going on in America right now, look in the mirror. The fact of the matter is, not one of you probably did anything more than get on the Internet and start some late-night rant about how evil Republicans are. If the American people are being oppressed like so many of you claim, it's because you, the American person, is allowing it to happen.

At one of my old workplaces, the video we had showed probably the worst racist joke I've ever heard. It showed these two guys in the deli who were talking, and then this other guy walked up and the conversation went like this: "Hey, Jim. You're the new guy, right?" "Yep." "I heard you're Jewish. I BET YOU'RE GONNA MAKE US SOME GOOD BAGELS, HUH!?!" And then the two guys started snickering and laughing.
