I thought it was great. So fucked up. Ebert complained that we didn't get to understand Dren enough, which means he missed the point. Dren is a chimera with fucked up parents who can't even understand their own behaviours, much less hers. Reminded me of Cronenberg's work at times. And amazing visual fx. Too bad Core Digital shut down just a few weeks ago. They were the best in the country. I loved how disturbing it got. Probably a shock for people expecting a run of the mill monster flick. Great director too.
