I'm by no means any sort of "dumbass liberal"... I wouldn't, couldn't and shouldn't vote for Obama. But if there's anything that guy knows how to do: it's to bring a country's economy back from the brink. Say what you will about him, knock yourself out country bumbkin... personally, before Obama, I was about 163K in the hole... 5 years later, I have both my homes back and I'm sitting pretty here again in southern France and have doubled my gains since he stepped in... One thing you can always depend on in these type of open forums... it's never about you. It's guaranteed to always be about bad Obama, dumbass liberals, welfare recipients, immigrants, the system, etc. etc. With or without Obama there, you'd still be directly where you're at today... the only difference is that now you found "a nigger" to blame your uneducated, lazy, sorry life on. Can somebody please change this record!

WTF - Of course Obama is a Muslim. I have no proof, outside of when he visited Cairo university in Egypt but we all know that anyone that visits or steps foot in any Arab country is a Muslim in his heart. My TV news shows tell me he's a Muslim every night so it must be true... ha ha ha.

So last night, I said to my flatmate (room mate)... hey, it's almost time to transplant our seedlings into bigger pots. Let's only do 2 plants this year - this should give us an ample supply to last all summer and most of next winter. No problem... I have no problem allowing your Jesus into any of our schools. EXCEPT... that I hope in turn you have no problem with our children having their worship ceremonies to our Nordic God, Eámetroên, the great and holy creator of all that is, was and evermore shall be. The morning ceremony involves a large bond fire on school grounds that takes place everyday at 10 AM sharp and lasts about 2 hours... then again a 2 PM with prayer and dancing to Eámetroên... I have absolutely no problem with having your "prayers and worship" of this insignificant Jesus character if you have no problem with our children interrupting your school curriculum each day with at least 4 to 5 hours of chanting and loud drum music through your school corridors and hallways. Wait till you hear about our annual Eámetroên fertility orgies with drunken free-for-all that take place just around finals time.

Oops, wrong. Not only was our dear ol' Adolf a Christian/Catholic. He made first steps towards seminary to becoming a priest before dropping out. The Nazi Swastika was based on a symbol over the door post he saw while attending seminary. Like most Catholics (ignorant as it may seem to us today) the Jews were taught as those that "rejected the Christ". A teaching hijacked from Christian catacism and adopted then instilled into the National Socialist (Nazi) "doctrine". In their minds Christianity had little to do with Judaism or a "Jewish God". In fact, the motto of National Socialism was "Gott Mit Uns" (God is with us). "I am convinced that I am acting as the agent of our Creator. That's a good theory... but that's all it is. Just a theory that doesn't work in reality. I'm not your tow-the-line Liberal. I'm a gun loving, hard-line NRA, decorated Marine marksman vet living abroad in a country and region that seems to have more than our share of mental deranged idiots and as many week-end pass hospitals for the mentally insane around. Guns are illegal here (pisses me off) but on the other hand we have no gun violence, zero murders by guns apart of the odd hunting accidents, I've never heard of one in the 21 years I've been here. Studies have shown that our kids here are known to play twice as many violent games and watch twice as many violent films as the average American (we have very long winters here). We don't even have any locks on the doors and still own the beloved wide-screen Sony ... so tell me again about your pie-in-the-sky theory on "symptoms of violence". Your symptom is the easily attainable and easy availability of firearms. Mom had a whole arsenal of weapons in the house and mentally fucked up son in the house... cause??? gee, this isn't rocket science pal.

I'm not on the left, in fact a die-hard Conservative, but like "austindav" said above... we got rid of our problem with cars. They're a nuisance, dirty, inefficient and make us slaves to the Arab world... they are evil. I live in Holland, we drive bikes. BTW we also got rid of the guns. I always find it odd that Americans love visiting Holland/Europe... you find it safe, full of legal soft drugs and prostitutes and yet you think nothing about having to leave your guns at home... when's the last time you heard of an American being shot down in "dangerous" Amsterdam? You bought into the rhetoric = bullshit.

God-damn great opinion. I am a trained decorated Marine vet marksman. I only tell you that because 9 out of 10 times that you aim a firearm at someone cold - you hesitate and never even fire it. I don't fucking care how many stats you give me, I know what I've experienced and seen with my own eyes in the field. If we think that Joe Citizen is going to pick up his gun and shoot Joe Intruder taking the sacred Sony because he spent 40 hours on the shooting range - you are not in touch with reality. Far underpaid, over worked and under staffed Dawn Hochsprung, Anne Marie Murphy, Mary Sherlach, Lauren Rousseau, Rachel Davino or Victoria Soto were too busy dealing with little Johnny or Susie learning the ABCs all day long to be trained enough to go down the hallway and blow some intruder away. Get fucking real.

I live in Europe/Denmark. My sister and I chose careers in education. She's a high-school teacher in the states and in my sister's words, "the difference is mind-boggling". Here in Europe when a student fails 35% of a subject-level he/she has to repeat it. High-school isn't an established four years, it's not uncommon for students to take 5-6 years to complete, there are no graduation ceremonies simply a coveted certificate that proves you have passed every subject-level required. University/higher education is virtually free, state paid unless one attends a top prestigious University or one abroad. Education is real serious business here and they take no prisoners, drop-out rates are virtually non-existent. It's NOT uncommon for many students to finish school at age 20 or even older. Basic education can be 15 year study - from age 5 to age 20 not a normal 12 years. School bands, music, art, cheer leading and school sports programs here in Europe are really non-existent (apart from the mandatory PE classes). Sports are not considered in any form a part of a student’s education. If your child wants to participate in any type of music, art or sports program then the parents foot the entire bill for that child’s extra-circular activities. Our European football (soccer), tennis, gymnastic stars, artist and musicians are not discovered in our schools. Driving a motor vehicle is not a part of the education here and one is not allowed to drive till about age 20 or 21; it's rare to find anyone younger operating a motor vehicle. Schools are all about hard-core education. High school students leave speaking 2 to 3 languages (including English and Latin). "Home school" is impossible here and beyond a parents capabilities to offer what is required to pass ever-changing required subject-levels. Is it any wonder that each year here in Europe ... there are armies of American head-hunters from top American firms knocking on doors here recruiting European graduates with top incentives of 10 to 15 year Visa contracts, top housing, free cars, top health insurance plans like home, etc. trying to lure students here to come or to work and stay in America for YOUR jobs. Each year when I return to America for a visit ... the demographics of this trend in top held American jobs and positions by foreign workers is dramatically evident to me (I can speak several of their languages). My pay is about 4X that of my sister, I teach Political-Science/Foreign Economics and Policies in English and German (my students mother-tongue is Danish - when's the last time an American high-school subject was taught in Spanish to English speaking students?) BTW: my mother-tongue is Spanish. My top high-school students vie for (160) places on an all expense voyage to Philadelphia/DC, Moscow and Beijing each year; a hands-on look to aid in writing their 80-page thesis on world political systems. This isn't an attack on our American education system, just an inside heads-up that when the President says "there are foreign students competing for our jobs", I believe he knows what he's talking about. I'm not being political or attacking but just stating the facts ma'am.
