From what I've heard Stark is the one that somehow builds the AI that turns into Ultron. I was disapointed in the pilot, mostly from the poor writing. I get Tony Stark hacking a SHIELD computers, but some girl living in a van? And why is it always a misfit team of people? Sheesh, lazy writing. It would have been better to give Coulson a well trained expert team that is trained for more mundane situations. Then as they encounter the crazy they find their training doesn't always work in the unique situations. For idea of the direction of the series, I know it is going to tie into the overall world, as each movie and episode having a larger impact. I'm willing to give a pilot more leeway as they are trying to establish characters and the setting. Though for this show I kept getting more of an X-men vibe than a SHIELD vibe from the show. You got Coulson in the prof x role, Ward is the stiff Cyclops type, May filling the stern but capable Storm roll, Fitz and Simmons kinda filling the Beast role, and then Sky as Jean Grey a sort of Coulson in the making that will be the eventual love interest for Ward only to die and come back. They even fly around on the airplane from place to place. - Comment on anchorman 2 poster (2013-08-15 16:01:29)
As someone who has worked in television news, it is scarry how acurate the first Anchorman was. - Comment on awesome giraffes (2013-07-15 03:24:17)
Now I'm picturing the Blues Brothers staring Giraffes. - Comment on Mystique gets a takeaway (2013-06-11 20:36:08)
This time around it is actually a bodysuit. The make-up only option they used last film was very uncomfortable for the actress. They plan on doing more action with her this time and the bodysuit is a better choice for those scenes. - Comment on TikiSee - Web Proxy is live! (2013-05-21 16:24:35)

The spidey armor was fine. - Comment on man of steel trailer (2013-04-17 14:48:08)
I'm affraid they are going to turn this into every other summer medicore cgi filled summer action movie. The effects look very similar to the ones in Battleship. The story I hope will be different enough, but I'm sick of seeing origin stories. I would like to see them do a different villain like Metallo, Parasite, Toy Man or go way old school and use Ultra-Humanite. I think having Lex be a background character and the man behind the villian would be better than what they did last movie, or how they will probably use the alien invasion of this new film as the motivation for Lex to hate Superman. Toy Man could be revamped to have a creepy feel. Ultra-Humanite could be modernized so his mind transfer is more of a tech/puppet army thing. Anyway no more origin stories for established super heroes. - Comment on More doctors smoke camels than any other cigarette (2012-12-31 23:50:55)
This reminds me of Mad Men and all their having to come up with new ways to sell cancer sticks after the cigarette companies were banned from using medical/health claims. - Comment on Remember, Sandy Hook Elementary School Shooting (2012-12-30 04:06:45)
Guns are not just for killing. They are also used for sport. There are nine summer olympic events and one winter event that involve shooting. - Comment on N[exactly]SFW (2012-12-21 02:44:37)
I prefer the N[exactly]SFW as it would better fit with the posts and keep the page from being too long. It also better goes with the style/brand already established on m[c]s. Plus it can be reproduced via text only. The big button is okay, but really needs to be smaller. It is a little too big at the requested 700x700. - Comment on Next Republican President (2012-11-06 00:20:06)
You mean the mess caused by laws passed that Obama voted for while a senator, or that passed while he was too lazy to show up for work? - Comment on Next Republican President (2012-11-06 00:18:02)
That should tell you he is the greater evil, cleverly tricking you into thinking he is the lesser evil. - Comment on Joe Wilson - Republican - South Carolina - Professional Jackass (2009-09-10 01:30:14)
I do think he was wrong for heckling the president and should have at least waited to express his dissatisfaction at a later time. Although SEC. 246 of the bill states: Nothing in "this subtitle" shall allow Federal payments for affordability credits on behalf of individuals who are not lawfully present in the United States. Now in that subtitle is "TITLE III--SHARED RESPONSIBILITY" and "Subtitle A--Individual Responsibility" The loophole comes in Subtitle B of Title III, that is not bound by SEC. 246. It is this section that outlines employer responsibility for coverage where they must make coverage available, and can auto enroll employees in the health plan. It is through the employer coverage that an Illegal worker may be able to acquire coverage, as this section has no previsions for legal work status. Though that loop hole may be covered in a later version of the bill. One of the sections that bothers me is SEC 401 that taxes anyone who does not have "acceptable" coverage even if they cannot afford coverage, as you still must pay for coverage. But this section falls under the jurisdiction of SEC. 246 so illegal workers are not taxed for choosing to forgo insurance. - Comment on This have changed (2009-07-21 12:46:40)
