BAWWWWWW This is stupid. I think it's pretty clear that the way people type on the internet is a direct result of shortcuts taken in, generally, fast-paced IM conversations as well as in texting, in the days before phones came equipped with QWERTY keyboards and were able to hold like 160+ characters per message. Besides this isn't English class and AP/MLA formatting isn't required. Not to mention the fact that's it's generally much easier to include the nuances found in spoken language into typed/written when you're given more liberty with spelling and/or grammar, even with syntax.
