Got bit twice by one. Didn't really hurt (scale of 1 to bark scorpion), but felt soooo sick. Like a cartoon character gone completely green, whole-body-not-just-belly-or-head SICK.

Typical situation: Get stung twice (once in leg, surprise; once in hand, squishing the attacker). Hurts like stabbing fire. Fine, get ice and an ibuprofen. Four hours later, still numbing with ice or it hurts. Been stung 4 different occasions (desert AZ home). Hate the things with a passion.

Palestinian Loss of Land? It occurred in 1948 - they would've had their own country, but Israel's existence came with the deal. Arabs said no deal, declared war on a newborn nation of mebbe 3 million and LOST. Arafat was offered a Palestinian state, turned it down to blatantly violate the Clinton-brokered peace. So the backstabbing, truce-breaking, civilian-targeting mass murderers don't have a nation? Fuck 'em.

It's right off the highway, no hike to see it. I like Devil's Canyon better, though - in the same area, looks pretty cool at sunset because the granite + sun makes everything pinkish orange.
