my interpretation is that the wreckage shown right at the end was oceanic 815, so essentially none of what happened in the past 6 seasons actually happened. im a little irked, because even though it neatly tied everything up (cant be any questions if nothing happened) i feel that it was a really cheap ending.

they are known as crane flies or mosquito hawks. super handy for humans as they get rid of smaller flying insects like gnats or mosquitos, and they dont/cant bite us. they also have the added bonus of freaking out my sister like you wouldnt believe. cheap entertainment when we were growing up, because one would inevitably be hanging around the bathroom in the morning, and she would let out a blood curdling shriek as if the thing was trying to fly up her nose.

im pretty sure this is the episode where dwight is in charge of picking the health care plan, takes over the conference room as his "workspace" (not office) and jim locks him in. first season, third episode - "jim! jim!! JIM!!!"
