Ok to gripe you have to understand what that image is. It is not banning a weapon of any sort. The picture is of a 30 round magazine for the M16 series and M4 carbine series rifles, and the M249 Light Machine gun (emergency reserve use only.) It is only banning the use of that magazine. More specifically under law. Those magazines that were produced after Sept. '94 (only because those that were already privately owned were grandfathered in) Unless you are planning on getting into one major firefight, the standard 20round mag is more than sufficient and perfectly legal to own.
