Give the man a cigar. Somebody had to plant that Victory Garden (with seeds that didn't just appear from Galt's head/ass) and weed it and do all the other maintenance that a garden requires. Anybody that really thinks that Galt would have gotten his hands dirty doing so, let alone had the time to do so, is just fooling themselves.

The funny thing is, we have tried a whole bunch of different societies. Yet libertarianism is not one of them. If you think you can get a bunch of like-minded people together and try it somewhere, be my guest. I won't be one of them. Maybe you can run a Kickstarter for that. I see inherit problems with libertarianism from the get-go. That you seem to think that libertarianism is some kind of separate and complete society that can run without democracy is also a hoot.

Better a Democrat tool than a Republican tool.

Libertarianism has won how many elections, in the US? In the world? Everything I see in it is nothing but wet dreams of adolescents that have never grown up. Get your Seasteading going, and let's see if it survives 10 years. I'm betting only five. Of course, that is if it actually gets built.

Common occurrence here in Florida. At least the paint is new enough that it isn't also getting the growth. My 15 year old Marquis, brown at that, certainly had paint that had seen better days and was almost as badly covered in algae, while the half vinyl roof was still brown. It took a good washing to get it off the car.

Been there, done that. Those stones can be vicious. BGSU, the only US college (at the time, who knows now) that had it's own dedicated curling rink.

    I whole heartedly agree.
  • Comment on Dodge Challenger (2014-03-01 18:27:36)
I owned a '73 Challenger. 318. And then one winter, I have to get rearended by a one ton pickup full of firewood on an icy road. I could drive it home, but it was totaled. I shouldn't have even been on the road. Red with a black vinyl top. And yes, I would still have that thing if it hadn't been totaled. Then or later.

What's a rock band have to do with the Doctor?
  • Comment on Behold the power of The Emperor.... I mean Jesus (2014-01-20 06:14:13)
Jesus lost a thumb over that. So, maybe be a little less powerful next time Jesus, that digit you may be saving may be your own!
  • Comment on Mysteray Folder Projects (2013-12-29 18:50:51)
Oh, if I did that, it would be more than three levels deep, I would change the name AND the extension, create corrupted/joke projects that would then be copied into the various folder levels. And then, maybe even take ownership and encrypt it with my account. "Why is the filename green, and why does it say that the file isn't accessible?"

Having the nacelles means that the release of "plasma" doesn't hurt the rest of the ship. I can understand that. I can understand that the shape of the warp field can affect how fast a ship can go and what not. Having separate hulls for living and work quarters and then engineering (storing vast amounts of deuterium and antimatter, at that) makes some sense, although if there were a true accident, it may not make much of a difference. But then, it really seems that there is plenty of wasted space that could actually having something there. A skinny neck connecting the disc to the engineering hull? That makes no sense. And in this case, the protuberance below the engineering hull is really quite a WTF. Also, it's space, so why make it look aerodynamic? The exterior shots make it look like it has four warp engines, but the internal schematic only shows two. And that's one hell of a secondary craft that it carries. Three stories high.

That is either a Challenger or a Road Runner. Not a Charger.
  • Comment on Either McS can't count, or Tiki is drunk again (2013-10-05 23:10:44)
It's not a question if Tiki is drunk. The question is when is Tiki actually sober?
