had a sick fucking nightmare this morning, dreamt i was in an audiotorium listening to a lecture and suddenly the guy holding the lecture makes this sick fucking scary face, kind of like trollface but dead scary, and yells "get out of here" to some guy behind me and proceeds to walk up towards where i am sitting. his voice is half crazy, but so full of rage and pain, and as he walks toward me he starts drooling heavily and then projectilevomits grey water as he goes. i start to get up and try to get the fuck out of there but my movements are all dreamy sluggish like they always are when i am dreaming and then i wake up. was shaken for like an hour.

An important distinction, but entertainment for entertainments sake is available in such abundance that escapism is a real problem as well. Even though it does not distort one's view of what is real and important as much as unimportant news, entertainment like World of Warcraft that is in itself able to occupy all one's time and attention slowly gains false worth. Even though you might be able to see the difference when you, say, go AFK to take a shit for ten minutes, you'll still hobble right back into that chair to chase the pretty colours. been a while since i read Brave New World, i think reading it twice wont hurt.
