Fellow bluesman here. If you want something that kicks ass and would get you a decent spot in a competition, try some fast SRV numbers, eg. Rude Mood or maybe Texas Flood. Check Kenny Wayne Shepherd out too, I'd say Electric Lullaby would be great for a comp. Maybe some Joe Bonamassa, if you prefer something more modern? Also, I'd say throw in an original song or two in there. It's rather easy to come up with a blues song/instrumental. That is, if you actually feel the music you play. Remember: it's all about feeling, technique and "originality" isnt as important. That's what makes blues unique. You can repeat the same riff over and over and make it sound different each time around. (Take a good look at B.B King if you dont know what i'm talking about. Stylish repetition is the term, I believe)
