http://www.snopes.com/horrors/freakish/hotspring.asp My co-worker was the guy in the Update, from Washington state. The update says he was in the hospital overnight -- probably correct, but he had bandages on and was in mega-pain for a couple weeks.

The water is about 200 degrees Farenheit (38c). It would parboil you right quick. Happened to a co-worker -- his dog jumped in a pool at Yellowstone, and he waded in to rescue it. Not smart, and the dog died anyway. He was in the hospital for a couple weeks. Ruined his vacation. :)

Bachelor's Button, sometimes known as Cornflower because it grew wild in grain fields. 'Centaurea cyanus'. Comes in a wide variety of colors. My favorite flower!

Lived in Morrow county for 5 long years. Very rural -- no taverns, lots of churches. Lots of drinking & teenage pregnancys, though.

That's the USS Abraham Lincoln, CVN-72, homeport Everett, WA. It's pretty awesome to be on, too. It has it's own small hospital, right in the center of the ship, where it's most stable and protected.
