A little late on this one but I'm reading L.A. Confidential by James Ellroy on my break at work and '48 by James Herbert at home. Also, Shoes, I finally got around to reading Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell and I was so taken with it I ended up buying The Ladies of Grace Adieu before I'd finished. - Comment on The Civil War Begins – 1st Trailer for Marvel’s “Captain America: Civil War” (2015-11-26 18:15:44)
No, Nitro and The New Warriors were the catalyst for the Superhero Registration Act, but Bucky's involvement as The Winter Solider did become public knowledge after he became "Bucky Cap", so they could be mashing the two storylines together. - Comment on Zero in Black (2015-11-12 14:24:45)
Tales from the Borderlands is my personal favourite Telltale Games series to date. I adore all the little touches they've put in to it to *feel* like a Borderlands game. Also, if you want to scratch the Borderlands itch (and have money to burn) there is this: http://www.videogamer.com/ps4/borderlands_the_handsome_collection/news/2k_is_re-releasing_borderlands_the_handsome_collection_with_a_remote-controlled_gentleman_claptrap.html - Comment on Pope Comic Book (2015-11-12 14:19:46)
The issue 27 crossover with the West Coast Avengers is a classic storyline. - Comment on GODZILLA (2015-11-10 05:37:30)
He seems smaller in person. - Comment on Master Chief and his busted ass jet (2015-11-01 08:45:19)
Yeah, likewise. And if it doesn't do that then it just ignores me completely and I miss the capture. - Comment on Master Chief and his busted ass jet (2015-10-31 08:04:33)
Double tapping the guide button or shouting at the Kinect is always awful. The chatpad out next month has buttons on to make it quicker... and also more like the PS4 controller. - Comment on Fantastic Four back with Marvel? (2015-10-15 15:31:22)
Marvel are no longer publishing Fantastic Four comics, not X-Men. Because the FF are a smaller section of the Marvel Comic Universe it's easier to phase them out, but they couldn't do the same with the X-Men. However I believe there is a directive at Marvel *not* to introduce any new characters in the X-Men comics so Fox won't gain the rights to them. - Comment on Star Wars Battlefront game review (2015-10-13 04:36:02)
Yeah, lovely looking game, but the spawns are atrocious on Hoth. Spawn, die, spawn, die. If you've put the time in and have some higher level gear or you get one of the vehicles at the start you're better off, but it's hardly ideal. Not sure I care for some of the vehicles being power ups as well. The Rebels should be able to spawn either in the airspeeders or in a safe hangar with the airspeeders on the last leg of Hoth. - Comment on The Martian review (2015-10-08 09:19:42)
Perhaps they'll show some of it in an extended edition on the blu ray. - Comment on The Martian review (2015-10-08 06:17:47)
Oh, with the exception of Sean Bean who seemed to just phone it in. - Comment on The Martian review (2015-10-08 06:17:17)
Yeah, it's a shame they cut out the stuff with him living in the rover. But if they had left it in the movie would have been at least another hour long. Overall quite enjoyed it. - Comment on Halo: Last Light review (2015-10-03 12:03:02)
Semi Powered Infiltrator armour. Basically fancy cloaking armour. Always wanted to see it used more in the games. As I recall at the end of Onyx, Fred, Kelly, Linda, and some of the Spartan IIIs were marooned inside the Shield World of Onyx itself. Karen Traviss extracts them from it in Grasslands, the fi book of her Kilo Five trilogy. She then ties those plot points together with Halo 4's story. - Comment on Halo: Last Light review (2015-10-02 07:59:19)
Just actually finished it recently myself. Feels like a set up for a new trilogy of Halo books. Nice to see more of the Spartan III's and their SPI. While they were originally introduced in the Ghosts of Onyx book I feel as if a lot of their story was ignored by Noble team in Halo: Reach. But then again I felt as if Reach ignored a lot of The Fall of Reach book as well.
