Anyone who uses 'proof' in the context of scientific theory is a fucking mong. You are conflating the 17th century sense of the word with the modern, formal proof. You cannot prove scientific theories, and this is no criticism. There are only greater or lesser degrees of confirmation. And the neo-Darwinian synthesis is fantastically well confirmed. Ignore anyone who says evolution is not 'proven' or 'provable'; they haven't a clue.
