After seeing the previous post of dwarf fortress I went and checked it out. Behold the world map in two parts

    No. It’s procedurally generated crazy with a side of insane.

    THE map? I’m 90% certain it’s randomly generated each time you want to create a new map. Still, cool image.

    ah, didn’t realize. I haven’t played. I was interested after the last post on the subject and decided it may be too involved for me.

    Saw this, thought it was the map, not just a map.

    Check out the guide ‘Your First Fortress’, makes it make a lot more sense. Also get one of the graphic packs if your not used to ASCII.

    The game is refreshingly fucking brilliant and hard.
