Couldn’t agree with you more about GG, but some comic-book villains have improved from the transition from page to screen. I thought they did a great job with Doctor Octopus, for instance (then again, to me he was always THE Spidey villain.)
This GG failed because you it’s eyes and mouth were a metal mask; so you can’t discern any emotions from his face. The scene at the end where Spidey & GG face off is extra lame because *both* characters have no facial expressions.

Seriouslly, the Green Goblin is a classic spidey villan ruined by slapping him into a movie.
