I’m glad I netflix-ed it though, no having to wait for new seasons for me, no having to schedule my life around broadcast, and the ability to watch 4-5 epsisodes in a row when I wanted.
I’m not a sappy guy, but I was worried for Bubbles there for a bit.
I’ve met most of the cast of that show. You wouldn’t believe how insanely nice they were, compared to most celebrities. They were always so excited to meet someone that liked their work. Also, Dominic West is a giant.
You guys should look into David Simon’s books, especially The Corner. He took a bunch of the junkies he met writing that book and got them jobs doing loop on The Wire. Frannie even does a cameo.. I think it’s in season three.
I found I liked everything about the show a lot more after being told how awesome David Simon is.
Stolid: google “stuff white people like”. funny book and too true.
Silverflux: read Richard Price’s “Clockers” and “Lush Life” too. While not a junkie, but he is a good writer. The creators of the Wire cited him as an influence and he wrote for the last couple of seasons. LL is more well formed, Clockers is an earlier work but still good.
Get ready for a surprise Joker “magic trick”!
Best show EVAR.
He looks indifferent to colouring.

And on the list of stuff white people like.
“The best show on television”

Um.. so non-white people DON’T like this?

Wha?
Why aren’t they out selling drugs and acting like monkeys with baggy clothes?
