What branch of Buddhism and what branch of Judaism are we talking about here? There’s more than one branch of each, and those different branches can hold wildly differing beliefs…

As from what I’ve been told/heard, Roman Catholics don’t care if a person is homosexual, just as long as they don’t have sex.

A religion i havent studied much, but i know a few devout muslims who would disagree strongly.

As a theologian with advanced degrees (lol, true but ridiculous) I have to say that the information contained in this graph is in quite a few cases incorrect. However, I additionally have to say that in its incorrectness it exactly exemplifies the confusion and incorrectness, as to the positions of their various belief systems, of most of these religion’s practitioners. THE POST IS A WIN worth a tithing/offering/zakat of InTeRnetS. I have no doubt that some holiday only, opportunistic, so called practitioners, of all of these faiths will whole heartedly approve of these proposed stances. A wed, Muslim teen having sex with birth control who gets pregnant and wants an abortion?…. Fairly unheard of and often stoned to death or imprisoned well beyond her child-bearing years.
@...suicydking: As a recovering Catholic with 12 years of Catholic school under his belt, here’s the way I understand it. It’s all the in the wording: the chart says “Homosexual Orientation“. Most of the Church has come around to the idea that being gay isn’t a choice, so just being gay isn’t a sin. Had it said homosexual sex, that box would be bright red.
@...MrGrinch: Even then it is highly debated that homosexual sex is a sin. A growing number of people/churches now believe that gay sex was forbidden more for the fact that it was considered wrong to use gay sex to express or gain social and political dominance. In ancient Mediterranean culture it was common for men to rape or have sex with other men to assert said dominance. In times of war men who had conquered a foreign army would rape them in order to show they were dominant and of a higher status. Even then only six verses (out of 66 books) in the bible actually talk about same sex relations and even then it is a brief “don’t do this” type of deal. These verses in no way prohibit, nor do they even speak, to loving, caring sexual relationships between people of the same gender.
