Paul_Is_Drunk: You mean the officer who was found guilty of driving his police cruiser while drunk multiple times? The one who threatened to murder his ex-wife if she left?
I don’t agree with plenty of what she says, but someone who does stand up to corrupt cops and the agencies covering them is doing something right. I just wish there was a politician in my neighborhood that responsible: one of the cops on my hometown force isn’t allowed to carry a gun because he broke into his ex-wife’s house with a hatchet and threatened her and her daughter. Yet, despite a court conviction of assault with a deadly weapon, he wasn’t fired.

Take an American History lesson. To accuse a Republican of racism is a joke.
Democrats fought to expand slavery while Republicans fought to end it.
Democrats passed those discriminatory Black Codes and Jim Crow laws.
Democrats fought against anti-lynching laws.
Democrats fought to keep blacks in slavery and away from the polls, and they started the Ku Klux Klan to terrorize them.
Democrat Senator Robert Byrd of West Virginia, is well known for having been a “Keagle” in the Ku Klux Klan.
Democrat Senator Robert Byrd of West Virginia, personally filibustered the Civil Rights Act of 1964 for 14 straight hours to keep it from passage.
Democrats passed the Repeal Act of 1894 that overturned civil right laws enacted by Republicans.
Democrats declared that they would rather vote for a “yellow dog†than vote for a Republican, because the Republican Party was known as the party for blacks.
Democrat President Woodrow Wilson, reintroduced segregation throughout the federal government immediately upon taking office in 1913.
Democrat President Franklin D. Roosevelt’s first appointment to the Supreme Court was a life member of the Ku Klux Klan, Sen. Hugo Black, Democrat of Alabama.
Democrat President Franklin D. Roosevelt’s choice for vice president in 1944 was Harry Truman, who had joined the Ku Klux Klan in Kansas City in 1922.
Democrat President Franklin D. Roosevelt resisted Republican efforts to pass a federal law against lynching.
Democrat President Franklin D. Roosevelt opposed integration of the armed forces.
Democrat Senators Sam Ervin, Albert Gore, Sr. and Robert Byrd were the chief opponents of the 1964 Civil Rights Act.
Democrat public safety commissioner Eugene “Bull” Connor, in Birmingham, Ala., unleashed vicious dogs and turned fire hoses on black civil rights demonstrators.
Democrats were who Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and the other protestors were fighting.
Democrat Georgia Governor Lester Maddox “brandished an ax hammer to prevent blacks from patronizing his restaurant.
Democrat Governor George Wallace stood in front of the Alabama schoolhouse in 1963, declaring there would be segregation forever.
Democrat Arkansas Governor Faubus tried to prevent desegregation of Little Rock public schools.
Democrat Senator John F. Kennedy voted against the 1957 Civil rights Act.
Democrat President John F. Kennedy opposed the 1963 March on Washington by Dr. King.
Democrat President John F. Kennedy, had Dr. King wiretapped and investigated by the FBI.
Democrat President Bill Clinton’s mentor was U.S. Senator J. William Fulbright, an Arkansas Democrat and a supporter of racial segregation.
@...GrandAdmiralThrawn: I see your list ends in the 1960’s, when the very demographics for “Democrats” & “Republicans” shifted into the parties we have today. Sure, they have the same names, which makes it easy for people to assume their exactly the same, but the truth is they’re not.
How else would you explain the solid South going from always voting Democrat to always voting Republican?
It’s because there was a huge shift in party lines, as happens every 40-60 years, and is happening again, that had people like Strom Thurmond go from a Democratic Senator to a Republican Senator. Why is that? Because the Republican party embraced whole heartedly the religious right and racists (not always related, but often). Sarah Palin probably would have been a Democrat pre-1965 because of their differing attitudes toward race & religion. Not that there was a strong divide between them post 1900 or so, but again another factor you conveniently chose to ignore.
Seriously, where are the Republican votes on racism during the dates you listed?
The fact is that the Republican party of today is not pro-race, as would be evident in them getting a majority of 15% of the black vote BEFORE the last election with Barack Obama.
You know what? I’m just going to stop here. You opened up a shitstorm. Enjoy the forthcoming comments tearing your shit up.
@...Paul_Is_Drunk: Given how biased the media has gotten i don’t think you will find anything in defense of her outside of Fox news or conservative websites. That’s not to say that fox news conservapedia are right but that doesn’t necessarily mean they are wrong.
@...Paul_Is_Drunk: Yeah but still it is kind of ignorant to assume that being republican means you are racist either and that seems to be a cheap shot the left wing takes at the right. It’s like if i were to flat out call obama a marxist/socialist/communist. Yeah the guy has some ideas that sound pretty socialist/commy/whateverthefuck but that is a bit of a cheap shot since socialism/communism has been associated with the democratic party for a while now. I could be wrong about that but that is how i see it at least.
@...thelotuseater725: So the media is biased just like Wikipedia is biased, and that’s why Conservapedia was created? Because Wikipedia was so biased that they wouldn’t admit that Dungeons & Dragons let you summon demons or that Richard Dawkins wasn’t a professor at Oxford, despite Oxford’s (and former students) protests? I, for one, am proud of Conservapedia standing up against that liberal bias, even going toe to toe against Oxford’s ‘undeniable proof’ that Dawkins was a professor there.
…honestly, at what point does reality just have a bias?
Oh, and@...thelotuseater725, maybe not all conservatives are racist, but they do consistently vote racist people into office. Take Rush Limbaugh. No, he’s not in office, but he is the face of the party these days. Here’s my favorite quote of his:
“I mean, let’s face it, we didn’t have slavery in this country for over 100 years because it was a bad thing. Quite the opposite: slavery built the South. I’m not saying we should bring it back; I’m just saying it had its merits. For one thing, the streets were safer after dark.”
Unfortunately both parties were pretty racist before the 1960’s, but only one has consistently claimed that title since then.
@...thelotuseater725: Oh, and gx5000 proposed a “what if” question. He never said anyone was racist. Yet that was enough for both you and GrandAdmiralThrawn to loudly declare “not all Republicans are racist!”
Is it a case of being too sensitive, or simply “doth protest too much?”
@...Paul_Is_Drunk: Alrite if i read what you said properly (which i may not have done since my sleeping pills are kicking in) i would suspect you are under the impression that i am accusing the media of being left wing biased. She has ZERO qualifications. She is a RETARD. Im sorry, she would kill america with her retard policies alone, with her “little blessing” and all (little factoid: at least in the state of arizona, the standard student has about 40,000 dollars a year spent on them, the average special education student has 1.5 million dollars a year spent on them, despite the fact they will never contribute to society in the tune of 1.5 million dollars let alone the 22.5 million dollars spent on them for their average education of 15 years.)
Not to mention she has no eduaction, not to mention she has no diplomatic ability, not to mention “Alaska is an energy rich state don-cha-no” is apparently a stance on alternative fuel, not to mention “I can see Russia from my house” is apparently a stance on foreign relations…
She was the high school slut who had her rich daddy pay her way through broadcasting school. She is “strictly christian, no sex before marriage, no abortions” but her own daughter is having an illegitimate child AS she is campaigning for VP. THEN she tries to bully the father of her sluts kid into a shotgun wedding…
I was going to try to withhold from this rant, but I have never fully had it, I quelled it. Somehow, some way, I didnt think it was possible, but the fucktards who said Bush was okay, found a stupider moron more guarenteed to lead to the end of the United States, if not the end of the world (she would LOVE to be the first woman to initiate a n-ee-oo-qu-ee-u-lar strike)… I just dont get what is wrong with the people in the nation I live with. Majority ruled and voted Obama in, but not in my state. That scares the shit out of me.
Seriously, let her go and shoot fucking moose. That’s the only thing she ever said that wasn’t clearly out of the mouth of her neo-con coach.
“The Presidency tends, year by year, to go to such men. As democracy is perfected, the office represents, more and more closely, the inner soul of the people. We move toward a lofty ideal. On some great and glorious day the plain folks of the land will reach their heart’s desire at last, and the White House will be adorned by a downright moron.”
H. L. Mencken
(Baltimore Evening Sun, July 26, 1920)
The woman has no redeeming characteristics.
Obama didn’t carry the majority in my state (West Virginia) either. Though he was much closer than thought he would be. Me, my sons and hubby all voted at different times of day and all had to stand in line for 3-4 hours.
@GrandAdmiralThrawn: Sticky is right! (How did that happen?) Republicans built their early years on the platform you shared and since the late 1950s have done an entire 180 degree turn on most of those ideas. As proof about the instability of platforms. There are a few evangelical leaders, who for years preached about the evils of sin, immorality and homosexuality, that are now gay, prostitute pursuing, drug users. Things do change. I know its scary but you’ll get used to it.
2008, John McCain refuses to attend a presidential debate with Barak Obama because he, along with the current president, George W. Bush, are “needed” in congress to push through an emergency bailout bill to make America a socialist nation, and they succeed.
So by your own logic, the Republicans are not only freedom loving people that push liberty, but they see the failings of lazze faire and capitalism, and made a bold move to end the capitalistic state of America and make it a Socialist nation.
Oh, but wait, AS McCain is championing the bill that made America officially socialist, he ran slam campaigns against Obama calling him a socialist.
Obama wanted to have the debate.
You are living in a socialist country. The American government OWNS multiple banking institutions. This was pushed through by Republican leadership.
Republicans love to do one thing but say another. Im sure there is a fact that negates damn near every single one of your citations. Much like the situation illustrated above that people STILL dont acknowledge.

The woman has no redeeming characteristics.
Obama didn’t carry the majority in my state (West Virginia) either. Though he was much closer than thought he would be. Me, my sons and hubby all voted at different times of day and all had to stand in line for 3-4 hours.

Democrats and Republicans used to be inverted as far as what we know of today. You fail at political history.
P.S. I’d hit it……….Over over again till it stopped moving!

nuff said. She’s a loon.
@...GrandAdmiralThrawn: Okay, wait, I got a random political fact for you:
I’m surprised that nobody has said this yet but, don’t you realize that you’re all just running a race in the special olympics?
@...ajm543: was that directed at me?
