#1 is true, from what I’ve seen of other couples.
#18 is generally just good advice.
#3 is close, you just don’t have to be a dick about it. Needlessly cheerful has it’s own drawbacks in the business world.
#12 is a lame fucking slogan.
The rest of it… meh. People like other people to be those things, but they aren’t (in themselves) the way to be successful. Being liked is good, but you can also be liked for being rich, social, or even having similar tastes in peanut butter. A lot of it comes from experience in the world, and learning from those experiences. A lot of luck, too.
Okay, #13 definitely has nothing to do with success, but it will make you happier… somewhat. Happiness is based on being satisfied. Learn to be satisfied.

#18 pretty much changed my life when I was really young and realized it on my own. I’ve been trying to get people around me to understand that blaming others only makes you a sad little person in the long run, but to no avail until now.

Most of this has nothing to do with Success, this is more about being a nice guy (or gal) and being liked by others…but would you like your multi-billion dollar company be lead by a nice guy?

I’m afraid I see no religious undertone, i think he is trying to cover all ground bases. if religion is what make you succeed in life then do what you(general) must. I believe all statements are perfect. If a person who’s horizon is broadened enough to see all corners of it. he covered allot of issues. It’s funny how 1 sentence can change a person life, if they wanted to.
@...Starkiller: You’re making the mistake of sample bias. Example: everyone who wins the lottery bought a lottery ticket, but obviously not everyone who bought lottery tickets is a winner.
By analogy, most (all?) top CEOs are selfish jerks, but not everyone who is a selfish jerk becomes a successful CEO. Most are just pitiful people, who are hated by everyone.

I think it’s about success as a human being, success in life generally and being happy/content, not necessarily about business success.
