You see enough mistakes, you start to mimic them; luckily some of us have the ability to edit and revise, where others (i.e. our students) often don’t have a clue they’re making the mistake in the first place…which is sad, considering this is grade school 101.
i have a friend who is a teacher- and he gets it wrong all the time!!
whoever made their graph there didn’t include me. They’re a bit discriminatory about the whole age thing.

I would say that people using the correct form is probably less than the graph depicts.
@nyokki…that form probably works universally online.
I’m doulble that age… too damn long ago to remember the correct usage, and not old enough to blame oldtimers disease…..

I try not to care, but this one drives me crazy. It’s 1st grade. They’re going to take their stuff over there. Not hard.
