@GrandAdmiralThrawn: I don’t want to step on your toes since you are the one with the star wars handle… But wasn’t it Grand Moff Tarkin that ordered and orchestrated the whole blowing up of Alderaan? Maybe I’m wrong but Darth Vader sat around like a bitch during this part and said “I told you so” when they found out this wasn’t the base.
@...Drewlicious: If I’m not mistaken, Tarkin was going to blow up Alderaan anyway (and I can only assume he had the Emperor’s blessing on this) but his primary goal was to use the threat of it to get the Rebel’s location out of Leia, who told him it was on Dantooine. When that proved to be a lie, Vader was all like “So much for your dumbass interrogation skills, biatch.”
@...Drewlicious: Iroincally, Tarkin remarks “Dantooine is too remote to make an effective demonstration”, implying he would have blown up the Rebel planet if it has been closer to the core systems.
Leia almost fucked over a second planet that had nothing to do with anything.
And then, completely aware they were being tracked, she leads the Death Star to the rebel base, which also almost gets the whole planet (well, ok mooon) blown up.
Bitch really doesn’t think more than 5 minutes ahead.
@...Zasz:
Yeah, but if the Jedi Enclave on Dantooine hadn’t been destroyed a few thousand years beforehand it would have made a very convincing demonstration.
@HoChunk and @Zasz : I appreciate the clarification but my point is that it was mainly Tarkin and not Vader. Well technically Thrawn’s statement could be applied to both Leia and Vader, IMO.
Less QQ, moar pewpew?
zeeeoourp
Oh Alderaan, we hardly new thee 🙁
So excessive. A more personal display of executing the terrorists would have been more effective.
Also these photos are from the digitally remastered versions.
@... Monkey770 This is what happens when you let your leaders adopt stray children from less intillecually developed worlds.
Eat it Jimmy Smits

I never liked that planet.
They should’ve done the same to Naboo.
