Tiny note, I don’t watch many sitcoms but I noticed that Friends isn’t on there. I’ve scanned it twice but can’t see it. Not that it matters but it was rather important
Punky Brewster, Full House, Family Matters, Mork & Mindy, Hey Dude, Wonder Years, Fresh Prince, Boy Meets World, Growing Pains, Baywatch. My childhood right there.Ohh Nostalgia!

@...MattKirby: NYC gets its own separate map. I think it’s because 50% of sitcoms take place in New York.
Simpsons not here

@...Dyna-Mole: where do you assume the simpsons reside?
@...DisplacedTexan: In Springfield. This might help.

Roswell? When was the last time you watched TV? Breaking Bad and In Plain Sight, Wildfire,
If this is meant to be by city and not just state, then Andy Griffith is nowhere near it’s supposed to be. Not that it matters.. 😐
The sitcoms listed under NYC suburbs actually take place in the boroughs, not suburbs. NYC is Manhattan, Bronx, Brooklyn, Staten Island and Queens.
@...Puulaahi: everyone knows it’s springfield. what state?
@...DisplacedTexan: The link. Click it.
King of the Hill is set in a Dallas suburb, IIRC, so the label is about 500 miles off….
Anyone who knows anything about the Simpsons is familiar with the running joke involving the fictional town’s location in America.
And for those of you who aren’t, the Simpson’s Springfield doesn’t have an official location.
Twin Peaks, Magnum PI & Matlock are hardly sitcoms.
@...reboot: ask yourself how they are NOT funny?
Man, I’m glad I didn’t make this map. You guys are down right pedantic when it comes to Sitcom locations.
HA Ha
MATLOCK FTW
Hmm… they appear to be missing Seinfeld.
Where’s the “Dukes of Hazard”? This is bull shit.
bernie mac is dead.
🙁
Love this! This is by Dan Meth at danmeth.com and can be seen here: danmeth.com/post/87573961/usa-sitcom-map-4-in-a-series-of-pop-cultural
The Dukes of Hazard was in Georgia, just south of Atlanta.
Hawaii 5.0 and Magnum P.I. are hardly sitcoms; but if you’re going to list cop shows, where is Miami Vice? H E L L O ??
Idaho needs a sitcom. Maybe a cop show. But it would be a lot like Reno 911. For entertainment purposes, I have to go here every day without exception… www.adasheriff.org/ArrestsReport/wfrmArrestMain.aspx
