@...nyokki: yea me too, or also someone was calling my name.. (note: i had long hair once upon a time)
but umm i was about to say that i think this does really work. if i watched the movie white noise like 5x and listen to static. durr lol. but really i think that the static is at such a tone/frequency that your sense are in a tip toe stance. your concentration level is soooo high expecting to hear something you do hear stuff. only thing is that i don’t know where the ping pong ball effect is. ping pong balls was created in 1901 so maybe in 1930 the ping pong had some fucked up chemical? and if sniffed you hallucinate? lol
@...ColombianMonkey: Also, the static is not a special tone/frequency which would make your brain any more alert. It only exists to provide white noise so that no other auditory stimulus occurs making the hallucinations possible.
Ok, so if Im understanding this correctly…the white noise is so you dont hear anything else, and the ping pong halves are so you dont see anything else (maybe distort your sight a bit), then…
did hellen keller have constant fucked up hallucinations?
First time i heard of this i went out and bought ping pong balls and downloaded MP3’s of various white noise. It didn’t do shit for me. @...greenie:
that works for me.
@...nyokki: Hmm, well until now, I thought it was edited, but if you look closely, you can see some parts of text are clearer then others. That’s why I thought it was edited…but reading it again it makes sense now.
Wow. Does this really work? Sounds better than acid (which I haven’t done since high school). Does anyone even do acid anymore?
I always think the phone is ringing when I blow-dry my hair.
“The technique was devised by Wolfgang Metzger”
A German, of course. I always feel kind of proud when Germanic people come up with strange things like this. Freud is my homeboy.
I have a ping pong ball. Ping pong is pretty awesome, but I’m going to sacrifice one to see if this works.

@ColombianMonkey
The ping pong balls are to distort sight so that your mind will create images to correspond with the sounds.
@...ColombianMonkey: Ping-pong balls are made of the exact same material today as they were in 1901, celluloid.
@...Cargen: oh okay i just wanted to know if there was a specific reason for the ping pong balls

A white sheet works better for me.
Do I really have to be the one to say it?
Fine.
@...monkeybird02: Ask Wynona Ryder for one.
@...Tardex: thanks for correcting my assumption.
check me if I am wrong, but NO radio station “broadcasts” static.
Static is found on a frequency where no signal is being boradcast.
geek mode off..
Would it be better to listen to I-doser or pure static?
@...monkeybird02: I haven’t done acid since I came home, put my key in the door, and drove my house around the block.

Good question. If only she could have told us…
It’s called daydreaming. Sit in a quiet room with your eyes closed and you…oh my god…start to *think* about things.
Seeing as my grocery store now stocks and endless supply of pingpong balls in the beer case, I’m going to try this tomorrow.
I guess it does the same thing as the total immersion tanks in the 60s and 70s.
Sounds like artificially recreating the experience of dreaming while awake.
The same thing can happen if you apply pressure to your eyes while they are closed, then let off and not open them.
I just did it. Fucking amazing.

because you are not calm. your too excited to expect anything to happen.
Sounds like a person could accomplish the same thing with a few strikes from a sledgehammer to the head! lol
What was edited out? “– that’s the purpose” isn’t supposed to be there…
@...Nannerpuss: ???
