Actually, if you read the original Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, it’s scary anyway. Even the Disney movie was sort of scary. I think there’s no way to tell this story without making it seem trippy. Naturally, Burton is going to take this to a whole new level.
Also, fun fact: the story is actually about mathematics. Yes that’s right, it’s full of wonderful mathematics. But you’d have to study it long and hard to get all the references.
This story is so perfect for me it’s ridiculous. I mean, it’s got mathematics, shrooms and cats. What more could anyone need!
Nothing Tim Burton does is scary; unless by “scary” you mean “formulaic” or “cheesy.”
I really want this to be good. The question is whether the fact that Disney is still involved will bring it down. Nah, Tim Burton’ll pull through. I’ll love to finally get a good movie of one of my favorite stories.

Wow, this story brings back memories and I’m glad I happened to read the original (along with Grimm’s Fairy Tales). This movie will definitely spark my imagination. Thanks for all the years, Mr. Burton. 🙂

Ah Mister Dodgson, who would have thought. This banal fact, makes the story even more absurd to me. I like absurdity.
