    Irony: Lucy and Desi slept in separate beds because bigots at the time couldn’t handle an interracial marriage involving sex.

    Not entirely true, back then all married couples slept in twin beds on TV, “Standards & Practices” didn’t approve of any pre or post marriage shenanigans… I’m guessing Little Ricky just showed up because magic.

    I’ve known a couple people that still do the separate bed / separate room thing, usually due to snoring or other related comfort reasons. Shockingly, they figured out how to fuck each other even though they had separate beds.

    This. Separate beds used to be very common, especially in middle class families or above. Only poor people shared a bed. It was really showing how successful Ricky was.

    False. The first two seasons the beds were together. It was only after little ricky was born the beds were moved.
