Pork and sauerkraut is tradition. It’s delicious. It’s comfort food perfect for a wintry day. And it supposedly brings good luck on New Year’s Day.

    this is not very informative… it spends a little time on the origins of the tradition (per the headline), but not enough to discern much of anything. however, it spends a lot more time on what individual cooks can do to make their participation in the tradition more “traditional”… “Silver-Thread brand sauerkraut”? never heard of it… 😒
