@...MikeBabaguh: Perhaps for you, but I think it depends on what’s important to you. For you, a car is just a mechanical contrivance you use to get from point A to point B. To others it is something more.

I’d bet if you looked at all the other things in your life you’d find something for which aesthetics are just as important as functionality.

For some people, it actually does. For others it’s a status symbol. A lot of people tend to make both conscious and subconscious judgment determinations about other people based on things like their cars, clothes, ect.

(Actually I’ve seen you do that yourself.) But some people do consciously use their cars to make statements about themselves.
