Ah, the GAU-8 Avenger. 30mm depleted uranium shells and it rips through tanks like butter. Of course the uranium shells were banned after they ruined Iran (at least i believe it was Iran). Amazing weapon.
@...Harlequin: Actually, there’s still no ban on DU. There have been calls for a ban, but nothing has been resolved yet.

The GAU-8 is the only gun so cool they mounted a plane to it as an accessory.
DU isnt banned. But there is an orginization dedicated to stopping its use

Frankly the GAU8 is so damn cool they use tungsten or osmium. But DU does tend ignite spontaneously which makes it even sexier.
I love the A-10… I love it’s gun even more. If I could have any plane in the world it’d be an A-10.

DU does not give you radiation poisoning. That is why Its called Depleted. what it does do is turn to vapor or dust on impact, which is a a lot more toxic than lead, asbestos, and mercury to us, and that is where the health problems come from.
