I lived in an apartment on top of a hill five years ago. I worked at an office on top of another hill less than a mile away. One day, blizzard hits, and I can now legitimately tell me kids that I had to walk to work, in a blizzard, uphill both ways.
Hah. If it would only have been the way to school. I had to get up at three in the morning. And I didn’t have an alarm clock. I had to wake up by myself. And then, before school, I had to milk the neighbor’s cows. I earned 5 cent per week (in my time those were 10 Pfennig). 8 Pfennig I gave to my dear parents and the last 2 Pfennig I saved up. And that way I got the money for my first car.
I wish.
How can it all be uphill.
It doesn’t have to be all up hill, just up hill both ways.
And with no shoes…
… through a ice storm.
Then each should be accompanied by a Downhill label.
This poster is BIASED, and I WON’T STAND FOR IT.
RAAAGE.

Oh, I forgot. We *did* have shoes but they were made from old barbed wire. You kids don’t know how easy you’ve got it today.

Nowdays we either plow the mountain or walk around it.
Am i the only one that noticed this is actually from a Weird Al Yankovich song?
Except it was, 40 miles of snow.

Where’s the part about the hungry bears?
In my day we ate cow chips, AND WE LIKED IT!
@...BowToMe: Three times a day and we were happy to get it!
