have you never watched a live broadcast before? here’s what a “throw” is:

Bob McNewsGuy: “…and that wraps up sports, here’s Abby with more about the boot dance!”
Abby McNewsGirl: “Thanks Bob! We’re scootin’ boots down here at the Cheese Factory to raise money for babies that need new shoes, they keep outgrowing the ones they already own!”

He’s the one throwing, she’s the one catching. he throws the entire news station at her. In the case that I watched though, either her ear piece wasn’t working or the camera man wasn’t able to get her attention.
