All the pictures that have been posted here seem to be the ‘one’ that ‘is not very flattering’. Am I detecting a pattern? Besides, all she seems capable of doing is one facial expression, pouty.

@...casemods: I’m w/ you on these. Why do they do these shots? It looks like she just woke up after a bad (or maybe a good…nah, prolly not) night. She looks unkempt and hung over. Most people would clean up and brush their hair before letting anyone take a pic. I don’t understand where the preference for this crap comes from.

I’ve never really been a fan of “glamor” at all, because, from my perspective, it is dishonest. At least in the commercial sense. They tend to conceal or obfuscate a persons flaws, both with makeup, and often digitally.
Now, my opinion would obviously have no bearing on the glamor world, since it’s not really about honesty, but personally I’d much rather be able to get to know (and like) what a woman looks like sans perfectly done hair and make up.
However I do agree that from a commercial perspective this kind of photography doesn’t make any sense, since for the most part, commercial interests would be best served by making her up to appeal to the widest audience possible…
