Unemployment is falling largely because so many have stopped looking for work, and because it was so high when he took office. The economy is better than 2009, but you can’t attribute that to Obama. He just got lucky in the economic cycles. He’s mostly responsible for what a slow anemic recovery we’ve had. Same goes for the stock market. If it hadn’t crashed just before he took office, it’s advances wouldn’t look so outstanding. And again, that’s more because of external event like Brexit, the Euro crisis with Greece, Italy, Ireland and Portugal and internal events like the Fed keeping rates low so people were forced into the market since they couldn’t get a decent return elsewhere.
