Why are Charlize Theron and Kurt Russell is this movie? They could do ANYTHING, yet they’ve chosen a tired franchise. I’m confused. (I don’t think it’s the money because they’ve both been pretty discerning about their acting roles and they’re not poor) Who’s the director? Is it that?

I’d also say it’s the market. The target audience and is huge. (people who like cars, money, explosions obviously… but also people seeking a “squad” and liking the sense of camaraderie which is all but lost today)
