@outofocus: The mall in the picture is Centrepoint. The electronics mall you were gushing about is Funan which is quite close to lots of other nice stuff if you’re just touring around, but if you have the time to spare to buy electronics at good prices, the place to go is Sim Lim which has too many floors of sometimes-unscrupulous dealers. But if it’s cameras you’re looking for, best bet is Cathay. Spread the word to photogs you know who might be going there.

I spent a month in a half there. I didn’t like the other two you mentioned really. I did wander around Cathay but the prices for the stuff I wanted to get was within $20 of the prices I could get from places in NY, even with haggling. A small savings like that does not make the loss of the warranty worthwhile.
@...kampongchicken: I’ve had my own domain for a long time… I just kept files there but recently got around to adding content. Cheesy content but it’s better than nothing.
I use facebook as well. I’m working on some wedding images right now and am putting some there for the family to see. Once I have more I’ll put a gallery up but for now it makes them happy.
Thats nothing.
You should see the malls we have here in Taiwan.
This is why I grow my own clothes at home
Wow, I thought the Georgetown mall had a lot of levels.
That looks a lot like a mall I went to in Singapore.
Found the picture. I saw a scary Winnie the Pooh there.
I liked this shopping center more. It was totally dedicated to electronics.
@...outofocus: Wow the mall in the first picture looks almost exactly like the one in this picture. But you’re right, the second one is much doper.
@...dieAntagonista: I’m positive that it’s the same mall. The signs are the same and it has the “pooh” corner thing.
How weird is that?

@...kampongchicken: Oh, and I was not “gushing”. How rude.
@outofocus:
Thanks for the NY tip! *wipes up the gush apologetically*
@...kampongchicken: hahaha. 😉 By NY I mean on the web… they are very competitive pricing wise and since I live in CA, there is no state tax.
@outofocus: nice site, btw. i’m still abusing facebook for my recent photos.
