Amazing plane. Can stop on dime despite it’s size. They do STOL training here in our airport with this aircraft. I recall hearing the plane is from McCord AFB.
@...dieAntagonista: Throw on a pair of shades. 😉 I’m fairly sure the photo was taken with a hefty filter on the lens to keep the sun from washing the whole thing out.
Although, as usual, I stand ready to be corrected.
I’m pretty sure this is a screencap from Chitty Chitty Bang bang.

@mld: again, my bad. This site has conditioned me to see round or spherical objects as boobies. Saw engine cowlings and wondered “Where’s the Nipples?” @etiii: Many years ago..All I got to see was the air field, I barely remember the terminal. I do wish that I had a chance to see more of the place.
It is a bird from the 62nd Air Wing. Of which McChord AFB is the primary HQ for said AW. Located right next to Lakewood WA. Or as we used to call it, Lakehood. It’s a beautiful base, (as far as military bases go),in a beautiful part of the Northwest. The 446th is the Reserve Air Wing also stationed out of McChord. It’s a well designed aircraft that does a very good job at what it was designed to do. Very rare as far as military vehicles go.
That plane brings back memories
Ummm…. not C-130. maybe C-5?
C-17 Globemaster, not a C-130 Hercules
Guam to Okinawa on one of those…longest rollercoaster ride ever.
My bad, was looking at the title. My ride was on a C-130. I have not been on a Galaxy or a GlobeMaster except on a walkthrough tour at an air show.
c 130=props
c 141 c 5 c 17 = jets
Mm beautiful, I’ve never seen such a sky.

Yeah, its a C-17. I get to jump out of those. Its super sweet.
But I jump from the C-130’s more.

@SumoSnipe-
So you’ve been here in Guam? I see all of the planes that have been mentioned here.
Airplane identification fail.
you’re all wrong. It’s a Dassault Rafale M.
Wrong.
