Ugh. I live in rural area, so we have a shit ton of wild pet dogs running around and a lot livestock. Live stock gets killed all the time. The dogs actually tear into cages or fences to get at animals (I had a pitbull and a pack of beagles go after my pet rabbit once, they tore into the wooden part of the cage and chewed at the legs of cage, one even succeeded in climbing on top of the cage, thank god for B.B. guns otherwise I would have been rabbitless, screaming and spraying them with a hose didn’t work).
When dogs attack something they pester it to death. They chew on it and nip at its legs and face. Most animals have a heart attack or die from stress.
So hooray bull/cow!

The photographer may have been the bulls owner, trying to document damage being done to his stock. I’m a dog person, but those two should NOT have been on the loose. Hunt down the dogs owner and make him pay for the bulls vet bill.
Ugh, grammar! Actually I won’t be, I am not, either is fine.
I shouldn’t be commenting just after work.

FYI, for those of you who don’t know:
These pictures were taken in the wake of Hurricane Katrina. The dogs had gone feral and were starving, which is what drove them to try and take on the bull. Needless to say, they bit off far more than they could chew.
It’s a shame really – these were likely very nice animals, but several weeks of hunger will turn even the most domesticated dog back into a wild animal.
I believe that’s a bull
good for him
THAT’S ANIMAL CRUELTY!!!!1
Was this bull being attacked by the photographer’s pit bulls? That’s sick and deserves jail time.
Better question, wtf is an untagged bull doing running around on the road?
…is victorious
Ha.
Pussy ass dogs got beat the fuck up.
If only all pitbulls could go out this way. Preferably today or maybe tomorrow.
🙁
Prolly not photographers muts.. but now we know what dogs chased before the invention of cars!
I hate big dogs, I’m glad this happened.
Now who’s the real bully?
Shoulda brought more dogs.

@...gor:
Srsly, a few hundred pounds of dog vs a good ton or more of angry bull? (And yes, that’s a bull, not a cow)
“should have brought more dogs” is an understatement…
I bet you’re voting for John McCain.
I remember these photos from the aftermath of Katrina. I’m a dog lover but these f&$#ers deserve to die.
@diabeetus
Actually no, I’m won’t be.
Myth busted. Most rural people don’t like McCain. 🙂
