To say that something is “good for the economy” means that it helps those who actually contribute to society, not that it panders to the useless, the stupid, and the worthless, who make no meaningful contribution to society and who get treated as pets by the rich white guys in the Democratic party who love to throw crumbs at their “pets” just to see them jumping for joy and wagging their tails.
The useless and stupid seem to be the Republican voters in those poor counties, just waiting for the trickle down effect to better their lives. Not sure what Democrats have got to do with it. The rich white Republicans have done well to sell a pipe dream to their constituents and live off the fat of the land.
“Not sure what Democrats have got to do with it.”
The Democrats have been in the White House for 14 of the past 22 years. They’re the reason the Red states get oppressed.
Since there’s been a Democrat in the White House for 14 of the past 22 years, bankrupting these states, naturally they’d vote for the Republicans to save them. It’s quite sensible
yeah…but you could also say that we had a Republican 8 years straight…and nothing got better. Hell, party doesn’t matter…all politicians care about is getting fat stacks of cash. Once they have been in office, they get paid for life.
THIS is the worst thread in the entire history of the Instanets.

So 51% vote for Republicans and that makes a “Red” state? Politicians of both parties are terrible; Government interference in the economy represses economic activity whether it is “help” from the Democrats or “help” from the Republicans.
I looked at the top ten most poor counties and eight of them are basically Native reservations. Now I am no expert but I am fairly sure that the Natives have been having a hard time for a very long time.
I bet you could dig into the history of each county and see a combination of forces economically, politically and socially that have brought them to this place, and who knows some of them or all of them might be on the upswing. None of these things of course factor into this picture which is just a dig at Republicans to set off a cascade of “You suck! No, You suck!” dialogue.

Got no fucking idea what you’re talking about.

Those red states contribute less in taxes than they receive. Keep enjoying your persecution complex.
What can you do when the Democrats pork barrel more job opportunities to the “blue” states?
from 1969 to 2009 the democrats only had the presidency for 12 of those 40 years en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Presidents_of_the_United_States_by_political_affiliation see how little water that 22 year argument makes against 40

USA has a corrupt government. You really think democrat or republican makes much of a difference?
The United States of America is fucked, and voting won’t solve the problem. Let’s hope that the rest of the world won’t be pulled down with it.
So I took a quick look on my good buddy Wikipedia
