Spoiler 2: The main character (and the writer of the book) is David Wong of cracked.com. The “John” in the title and the movie is John Cheese, Wong’s childhood friend and fellow cracked writer, though the character’s surname is never mentioned in the book or the movie. It only appears in a Fedex receipt shown only for a single second. “John Cheese” is not his real name (real name Mack Leighty). The name is most likely inspired by the fact that it would’ve been John Cleese’s name if his grandfather hadn’t changed his surname from Cheese to Cleese when he joined the army.
Much preferred the book. The movie tries too hard to condense a fairly layered story and kind of fails. I think they would have been better off adapting the first half of the book and if it did alright for itself maybe tackle the second half.
TL:DR Books are fun, m’kay?
I just got done reading Jdate. However, I watched the film first, and I feel that they did a fantastic job. (Sure they fused 2 girls together and cut out several more characters.) But all in all. Great job.. I’m kind of glad they left out the whole john clone thing… Though I wish they incorporated cucumber.
it’s on pirate bay
Spoiler: John doesn’t die at the end.

I really liked this movie. It was exec produced by Paul Giamatti which proves what excellent taste he has. Although IMO, Bubba Ho-Tep is even better.
The first poster, looks like something from a porn. And since it’s missing a female(s), a gay one.
